Good Music: Gotye "Somebody That I Used to Know"
This is my favorite song right now. This guy's voice is phenomenal (does anyone else think he sounds exactly like Phil Collins?) Enjoy!

Weekend Pics!
We had a busy weekend! My mom was in town, I got to go see my uncle's band and Wes took us through the awesome Nike campus and employee store (only employees were able to go through the campus on weekends and you had to be on a list to go in the store. So fancy ;)). Needless to say, we are all wiped out!

Date Night!
Wes and I had a little date last night while my mom watched Seeley. It was nice and made me realize that I'm with Seeley every second of the day! I literally am with her 24/7! So it was nice to do my nails and go out without worrying about little girl. I'm still warming up to the idea of babysitting on a regular basis, though. We have great people to leave the baby with; I'm just not quite ready to be away from her for more than a couple hours. As far as Seeley's concerned, she's so social she probably enjoys being with new people once and a while! Enjoy some pics from our little date :)

Little Things
I had a great day today
yesterday I was tired and stayed inside all day and didn't get much done
Seeley seems happier when I'm happier
that makes me smile, but I also feel the weight of that ability
the sun was out today and flowers were in bloom
I'm thankful Wes tells me he loves me when I'm being cranky
I've been tired lately, really tired, but I'm trying to keep it together
walks help
but today was good

Weekend Pics!
What a productive weekend! We went to the super-fancy, list only Nike employee store to take advantage of the 50% discount, went to IKEA to get some stuff for our house, did a ridiculously large amount of laundry and got out to enjoy the insanely warm, sunny Sunday weather. Wes also brewed his first batch of beer! Our apartment smelled like yummy hops, then smelled like an entire brewery was crammed into our rather small apartment. That smelled...interesting. We had a great weekend and hope you did to!
Deedle wanted nothing to do with the weekend. |

Tiny Houses
I grew up in apartments until I was in middle school. I'm not used to needing tons of space, and I think that's a good thing. I can't wait until Wes and I buy a house, but I don't really feel like I need more space than we have now. In fact, I wouldn't mind staying in an apartment, I just want to own our home so we can modify it (we're both HGTV nuts and already have a list of projects.) I love the recent trend of small, tiny houses. I think it's great to minimize your space to what you need and design that space with intention.
I was looking at the great website Apartment Therapy (www.apartmenttherapy.com) and I came across an awesome tiny house in Seattle. Designer Michelle de la Vega turned a 250 square foot (!) garage into a gorgeous home. 250 square feet is quite small but it gets me thinking about all the possibilities that exist when creating a home. Check it out!
